what shocks should i get for my '85 si?
like the title says. i just picked up an '85 crx si today and it seems as though the front shocks are blown. since i figure honda parts arent going to be much cheaper than aftermarket, ill go aftermarket. preferably i would like to get non-adjustables too since they will allow me to remain in G stock in autocross. heres the list at www.shox.com:
005. KYB shocks 1984 - 1987 Non-adjustable, set of 4 174.00
010. Tokico shocks 1984 - 1987 HP series non-adjustable, set of 4 279.00
015. Tokico Illumina 1984 - 1987 Illumina series, Externally adjustable, set of 4 439.00
020. Koni Sport shocks 1984 - 1987 Set of 4 506.80 t
025. Suspension Techniques springs 1984 - 1987 Rears only, Lowers 1" 89.00
030. B&G springs 1984 - 1987 Front adj., Lowers rear 1.5" 99.00
035. Eibach Pro-Kit 1984 - 1987 Rears only, lowers 1" 119.00
040. Suspension Techniques sway bars 1984 - 1987 5/8" front, 3/4" rear 229.00
045. Ground Control coil-over kit 1984 - 1987 Rears only, lowers 0-2", comes with Eibach ers springs, no struts 189.00
050. Energy Suspension Hyperflex bushing kit 1984 - 1987 Complete kit, includes heavy-duty hardware 79.95
-to sumarize the list, theres really only 3 choices short of the adjustables. basically the KYBs for $174, Tokicos for $279, and Konis for $506
any of you guys have experience in this area? keep in mind im going to maintain my stock springs and torsion bars. what should i get here? cost is a big concern for me but im willing to pay more for a better product.

You can run adjustable dampers in SCCA solo2 stock classes as long as you don't change the mounting points and such.
The Konis will work totally fine with your stock springs so no worries there.

ok i just looked it up and you're right
No more than two separate external shock damping adjustment controls. Gas pressure adjustment is not considered a damping adjustment.
