Default hf ecu?

will an hf ecu run a dohc zc motor? im not worried about performance wise, i just need to know if it will work and if it will hurt my motor. i think the hf is 12 valves, so if this is considered to be a stupid question i apologize. i just got screwed out of my pr4, and am now gonna be stuck with the hf ecu until i get the cash to buy the correct one. so if it will not work please let me know asap so i can go talk some sense into the person who is trying to screw me:madfawk:. thanks in advance.

yah u can use it to run it, ive done it b4 and i actually use a hf motor for emissions testing, its not gonna give u much power, and will restrict you from reving the zc to the desired power band but it will work, i would not suggest using it for long though. good luck

yah thats a quick tip for passing emissions because the 91 integra ecu tends to run rich for the zc which is what ive experienced which throws u out of spec for the testing, but the hf runs pretty smoothly and leans out the gas usage quite a bit which helps pass emissions, i always have a spare hf ecu in my garage they are pretty worthless as far as making any $ off of them though.

cool, thanks. i just won a pm6 on ebay so i will have my regular ecu to daily drive, and my "emissions ecu" as a spare. i really apreciate the advice.

when i worked in an import shop we used to always let people borrow an old hf ecu for like 20 bucks to go pass emissions and then bring it back, cuz we always had them laying around from other swaps. my garage is filled with hf parts because they arent worth much in the aftermarket department, but i can still find a use for most of it

So here are the EF useable ECUs I know of then...

PM5 - DX/STD
PM6 - Si
PM7 - ZC
PG7 - Integra
PM8 - HF
PM9 - Late model STDs

Are they any other ones?
