Sorry...It's there's a red book in Canada...

Black Book = Dealer Wholesale
Red Book = What Dealer Would Give You For It
Blue Book = Dealer/Private Used Retail Value

...that's according to the insurance appraiser, and the honda dealer that I just talked to...

the dealership option at kbb is prolly as close as youre gonna find. its really pretty accurate. i got an estimate of how much my 2001 civic was worth.

theres another one that i used to have, i had to use it when i totalled my accord. i cant remember what one, i do know that its the ones insurance uses. anyone know this other sites name or even what im talkin bout? other than the kbb id try to search google or soemthing. i really wish i could remember that other site for you man...only its been 4 years since i had the accord sooo...

It appears that way...

I guess it is all moot now, the former owner just told me that when he cancelled the registration he cancelled it as "parts or junk" thus I will have to re-safety and pay the tax on the "red book" value of the car...crappy thing is...it has a valid saftey sticker on it now...and I only paid $325 CDN for the SI...but the red book value (I went to Motor Vehicles on my lunch, they had a 'red book') is $1475-2425 CDN x 15% tax = $222-364 in tax....sigh.

Thanks for the help guys...
