Default d16a1 into crx hf?

do you know or could you find out what i have to do to make a 89 integra mototr its a d16a1 with dual overhead cams but my crx is an hf what do i need to do to make it fit. i was thinking an si transmission but i wanted to see first

What year is your CRX? it will only bolt in an 84-87 CRX.

my crx is an 1991 hf it came with the 1.5

you'll have to fab custom mounts, and probably a custom shift linkage to get it to work...aside from that you will most likely have other fabrication issues

You might only need to fabricate one mount if you use a 1988-91 Civic/CRX transmission.

ok, well i have the custom mount i need. But i wasnt sure about the transmission so Gasoline Fumes you just think if i got the si transmission it would work?.....or do all of you think it just wont work.....i have gotten on other sites and ppl have said the transmission but this guy i know said i would defantly find out on here.

your better off fabricating mounts and keeping the ZC tranny but put the Si final drive into the ZC tranny, it makes for a way better set-up

i cant use my transmission because the starter wont reach the flywheel. thats why i was wondering if the si transmission would work

you can bolt the D16A1 to the L3 Si transmission - it doesn't fit perfectly, but you can do it - 4 out of the 5 transmission attaching bolts will fit - only 1 starter bolt will fit, as there is no hole in the D16A1 block for the second bolt - personally, i don't believe it is a good situation, but you can do it and it has been done before - people who have done it say it works just fine
