Default 93 teg discs to hatch

Is it possible to swap the 93 teg rear disc brakes to a 91 hatch? Is it worth doing? Just curious, I got a whole 93 parts car and trying to use as much of it as i can

Yes it's possible. If you can get it cheap, I'd do it.

Well you're going to need the rear trailing arm and hub assemblies with the rotors and calipers of course. You also need a bigger master cylinder (I'm not sure which one, possibly 2nd gen integra) because disc brakes need more fluid to be applied and a proportioning valve from the 2nd gen integra so that your brakes will be balanced otherwise your front brakes would brake engage first and then your rears.

Actually I haven't done it but it doesn't seem too hard. Just remove and replace basically. I'll probably consider it later.

i don't think you need a larger master cylinder for just adding rear discs...i did this and never had a problem with brake fluid starvation in the MC...not much more fluid will be required to actuate the rears discs over the rear drums...however if you upgrade to larger calipers especially 2 or 4 pistons you will definitely need to do this

while you have the rear LCA from the teg i'd replace all the bushings with polyurethane units from Energy Suspension or Prothane, etc. since it is removed...i'd also get the bearings repacked as you can just bring the lca into the shop...this just reduces any future potential headaches...and if the parts car is old and rusted bad i'd consider replacing the rotors, pads and calipers just as an added measure of precaution

good luck and the site listed above is a good diy companion

thanks guys, the donor car should work well in that it was just turned into a parts car, was only wrecked a month or two ago. So i think i should have all the parts i need from the car. I am thinking i should take the fronts off too...since they are probably better, what do you guys think?
