Default Performance Struts for '90 Civic Wagon?

it's time to replace the struts on this wagon. i'd like something alittle better than stock. does anyone know where to get ANY better-than-stock struts and/or springs for a 2WD 1990 civic wagon?

all i can find are the stock replacements from autozone and advance, and they're like $65+ each! for that price i could get some nice shocks for any other car. i don't know if good companies even make them for this car.

any help/links is appreciated.

I think as long as you use a non-Wagon Civic spring AND strut you can get any 88-91 spring/strut setup to bolt right in.

maybe, but i don't wanna start playing trial-and-error with hundreds of dollars. i'm thinking of getting a Tokico HP strut/spring combo. i guess if it doesn't work out, i'll just sell them.

from what everything i have found says, you are mostly right. if the wagon is an 88, then you have to use springs/struts for an 88 crx/hb. for the 89-91 wagons, use 89-91 crx/hb springs/struts. the rear springs' ratios are different, but it shouldn't matter much, unless you haul alot of stuff around in the cargo area.

now that that's cleared up, it's on to the h22 swap and turbo
