Default engine stall after sitting briefly

I have had 3 hondas now do the same thing('90 civic si, '91 plain clothes civic and '94 Teg gsr)
After sitting briefly(like going into a carry-out) and starting up again, the engine will run for a second or two and then die. It will not start again until I let it sit(ignition off) for about a full minute. Anyone else had this happen or know what it means? It seems to only happen in the summer too(ohio). If I don't wait the minute, it will just crank and crank. I tried searching for this thread, if it already exists, someone please direct me. Thanx

Sounds like a bad Main Relay.

I will look into it when it acts up again next spring. Just weird I have had all 3 cars do it, I thought maybe it was just something they(hondas) do. Thanx for the advice.

Well the heat is what makes the soldered parts break apart. Its common in Hondas. Since I replaced mine last year I never had the problem again.

Okay, pardon a dumb question. But what makes it fine all winter long and then act up again in the summer. It has been doing this for a couple of years. Once the solder joints are broken, does it matter how hot or cold it is? Is this an expansion/contraction thing? Are these main relays expensive? Its not really that big of a problem, but I'd put in new relays if thats a sure fix. Thanx

Lack of heat in the winter. Things expand and whatnot.
