Default axle for b16a

I have an 89 civic dx with a b16a and i am replacing the driver side shaft. I was told by the previous owner that i need one for a jdm b16 siri. What the hell does that mean. I originally thought that a 90 integra axle would work but it was about two inches too short. HELP PLEASE.

You need an axle that originally came on a Japanese market CRX SiR. If you use '90 Integra axles, you need both sides along with the Integra intermediate shaft. The Integra axles also have to be slightly modified.

If you search for a while on partstrader and the like, you can find an SiR axle. If not, I think they can be replicated with a 90-93 Integra axle and one of the 86-89 Integra CV joints.
