Default Not playing CD's...

The last couple weeks, i noticed that in my TL, when i put a CD in the player, the screen would just say "00" for about 2 minutes (maybe while reading the cd) and then it would go on, playing track 01.. 02 etc... But the last few days it'll just display "00" and not play the cd for about 20-30 minutes, by which time, my patience runs out, and i end up listening to the radio.

Could anyone help me, and let me know what could be wrong, and how i would go about fixing it.. or buying a new deck/stereo if it comes down to it.

Thank you in advance.

What kind of CDs are you playing? Store bought or you burn your own CDs?

You have a 00 TL right? Then take it back to the dealer and let them figure out what's wrong with it.

Alright so i brought my TL to the dealer, god knows what they did, but now store-bought CD's (band cd's etc...) work fine. but when i put a burned cd (CDR... home made stuff) it doesnt work. The cd's go in, the display shows 00, then 01, then all i hear is little noises coming out of the cd player, (kind of like, little ting'ing noises, sounds of the cd spinning and whatnot)

so i'm guessing i'll have to bring it back AGAIN, twice in one week, new record on the way...

Either they're not supposed to play or you should try higher quality CDR's. I know on some cars, CDR's dont play at all.

i use Memorex 80 minute CD-R's and Verbatim DataLifePlus 80 minute CD-R's, I'm guessing these are not high-enough quality..?

Sometimes, the software you use to burn or the speed makes a difference too. Right now, I am using Nero to burn on Sony CDRs and they work fine. Before, I was using Adaptec and I can only burn it at 2x for them to work in my TL's CD player.
