Default Vigor engine specs

I drove someone elses Vigor a long time ago and I remember really liking it. I have an RSX now but I was just thinking about the inline-5 the Vigor had and wondering what the specs were on it. Valves, cams, displacement, etc. Anybody know? I guess that inline-5 fell by the wayside...not too many carmakers mess around with them. I have a friend with an old Audi 5+5 coupe with an inline-5 but it's probably a lot different technologically than what Acura was doing with theirs. Anyway...comments?, info?

Vigors are sorta cool with the 5 cylinder engines - reminds me of audi when I hear one. The interesting thing is that the crank is cut to the same offset as a V10 dodge motor. I think 5 cylinders are a cool concept myself... very different! I don't think they had quite that much power though.

That's funny about the crank...didn't know that. The 5's I've been around all seem to have kind of a unique exhaust note. They let out a really cool whine in the high RPMs. The one in the Audi I mentioned had amazing top end responsiveness (not sure about the Vigor, it was an automatic). Too bad they're kind of scarce...if I found a 5 cylinder head in a junkyard I'd buy it just to check it out and have it around.
Redcivic: I think the Vigor had under 200 hp. Definitly not 275 hp.

i think the vigor was closer to the 165-180 range. The Legend with the type 2 motor was putting 235.

Hi! I found this pages "googling" for "5 cylinder honda". I'm a fan of the Audi 5 Cylinder engines and own an Audi 90 myself. Audi sold many of them and decided to stop production because of the length of the engine. Many Fans of this great engine are still very sad about this decision. Because this motor was known as unbreakable.
Here'S a video of a swedish Tuner. It'S a mean sound and simply INREDIBLE!

And his VW Golf with the same engine and more than 900 hp:

You find more vids here: http://weach.com/media/ (check for "dahlback" and "sportquattro")

Legend Type II put out 230 I thought..
Also, I believe the Vigor puts out 175hp, as for torque, I have no clue.

I could have swore it was 235, but just doing some research showed 230. so maybe i was wrong.
