Default Question about steering problem

Hi, I have a '97 Acura CL w/ auto transmission. Sometimes, when my car is cold the steering feels really loose and unresponsive. On the freeway I can wiggle the steering wheel and it barely responds. After a couple minutes, it tightens back up and feels normal again. Seems like it could be a dangerous problem.. anyone have an idea what it could be? Thanks

sounds like a powersteering pump issue. whatever it is, i believe its related to hydraulic works in your powersteering system.

check your powersteering reserve for proper fluid. check your belt for powersteering if its still there or maybe its just loose. check for pwoer steering fluid leaks under the car specially in the rack and pinion area.
