3.2 CL Headlight Problem
I'm having a problem with headlights on my 2003 3.2CL/S. With the combination switch in the low beam position both the low and high beams on the passenger side are lit. Only the high beam on the driver side is lit. The high beam indicator light on the dash is dimly lit.
When I move to the high beam postion (or flash to pass), the left driver's side headlights go out completely, and the high beam on the passenger side gets brighter. The high beam indicator on the dash goes out.
After looking at the circuit diagram in the shop manual, I'm fairly certain there has to be a short to ground in the inverter/igniter unit that's giving both high beams a "back door" to ground.
Any other ideas?
Does anyone know for sure if the inverter/igniter is covered under the extended warranty ? I know the HID lamp isn't, but it doesn't mention the control unit.
