Tail lights...
I have a 99 TL and I want to get the Half red half clear tail lights.
I have found them for sale but why do some sell with wiring harness?
What is it for?
Also don't I just replace the stock with these and just stick the bulbs in the same place where the factory tails where in place?

The 2 tailights use different wiring harness, because one of the bulbs housing is actually smaller. However, you can do what I didn, just duct tape to hold it in. 2 years later, and it still has not fallen out. It is really up to you if you want the harness or not.
