Default 93 vigor

if a timing belt breaks on a 93 vigor, an interference engine, and you try to start it, will you here weird noises while trying to start coming from the engine or will it just sound normal, that is when the valves are bent will it make the noise or normal noise. also if the belt breaks will it come off or will it come of when you remove the timing case?

You won't hear funny noises coming from the engine if the timing belt breaks. It will sound different when starting because the engine won't be able to build up compression. It would sound about the same if you tried to start a motor with no spark plugs in it.

The timing belt usually doesn't snap apart when they are considered broken. What usually happens is that several teeth will be sheared off of the belt around the crank gear. You will find the rubber debri when you remove the lower timing cover.
