Default flasher not working

I have a 92 vigor for a while my flasher would make a clicking noise while driving I replaced mthe flasher now my 4 ways or directionals don't work there was a little smoke that came out of the dash need the fuel gage . Some times when I turn on the directional tne drivers door light would come on . Any idea what I fried where I could begin to look?? I already took the instroment panal apart it seems fine. Could I be over looking something in or neer the fuse area?

If you saw a little smoke, obviously something got fried. Have you looked under the dash? What exactly did you replace? Did you reverse some wirings by mistake? If everything was working fine before you replaced something, start at whatever you replaced and work from there.

I only replaced the flasher it seemed that I pushed harder than expected on the relay to unsnap it from the plastice fuse board a worry is that I may have caused a short behind the fuse board. If I did that, this could have caues all kinds of problems .. no? I tried replacing the multi function switch on the steering but it seems the same I opened two of the relays, both were fried. I also replaced the ICU ( that plastice box under the relay) with a salvage part. whats that box responsable for? I'm thinking I'll be heading to an acura dealer .
