Default SRS light on

I just bought a 2000 acura 3.2 tl that was being rebuild I install the passenger and driver air bag and also the airbag module but the srs light still on. Does the light suppose to go away by putting those new items? I also need to put on the air bags for the seats but haven't found a good deal yet. Is there a way that the light can be disabled?

The light is on because not all of your SRS are in place. I am sure you can disable the light, take out the dash and take out the light bulb but I believe when the SRS light is on, the airbags won't work.

The dealer won't fix it for free because it seems like it was either from a bad accident or it has been salvaged, why else would someone replace all the airbags?

When an airbag is deployed in these cars, you will need to replace quite a few components.

Airbags.
Seat belt tensioners (and in some cases the buckles).
Impact sensors.
SRS control unit.

Basically everything that has to do with the SRS functioning needs to be replaced, or you will constantly get an SRS light.
