Default Factory Alarm Problem

I have a 1998 CL and I need to replace the hood sensor on the alarm. Does anybody know how this is the done and how much the sensor costs. The alarm goes off for no reason and I was able to activate the alarm with the hood open so my assumption is that the hood sensor is bad.

The hood switch is part of the hood latch assembly. I'd suggest taking the latch out of the car and see if you can find the problem. Otherwise, the latch assembly is about $65 at the dealer.
