Default upgrading in-dash navi on a 2001 CL

I have a 2001 Acura CL coupe sport edition with a 6 disc changer and no navi options at all. I'm looking to upgrade but I want to run all Acura parts on it. I know that the 03's and up, I believe, have in dash navi systems with dvd, and thats what I want to upgrade to. Dealerships are saying this can't be done... any advice?

It can be done, but it will cost you a lot of $$$$ which you might be better off trading in your CL to one with a Navi. Trust me, there are a lot of parts involved and labor is where it kills it.

i have the people for the labor, its the parts I'm concerned with heavily. Calling around to Acura dealers hasn't done Any good. "sorry, we don't do that conversion, dont have the parts."

at the dealer the parts will run you $4387.62, and thats just the screen, navi unit and antenna. You'd still need the complex harness from the trunk mounted navi unit to the screen as well as the climate control and dash panel from the navi model CL.

You're going to want to find a totaled 01-03 CL with navi and pull the parts from it, or go aftermarket. Keep in mind that the harness for the navi is not seperate, its part of the vehicle harness.

There are a few aftermarket decks that are Navi that arent the pop up screen. It would look a lot like the OEM one but probably a little better. Take a look
