Default '05 TL automatic clunck

Has anyone experienced on their TL a clunk sound when shifting from drive to reverse? The noise appears to be coming from the driver's side drive shaft. It only happens when shifting from drive to reverse and not the other way around. Since my wife is the primary driver, I've only noticed it when the car is first driven for the day. I'll do some more investigation before I take it to the dealer
Thanks Sujit

It could be a bad engine mount. Also, depending how severe the clunking noise is, it might be normal especially when the car is cold.

Default '05 Automatic clunk during shift

I posted this issue sometime back and only got one response such as a bad engine mount. The problem: When I shift from neutral to reverse and back to neutral, I can here a clunk sound coming from the left hand side of the car. With the hood up, you can see the engine shift back and forward on it's mount. I don't expect this on a new car. My '95 civic does this now. Not when it was new.

The clunk sound is an issue, but what about the engine/ transmission shift? It didn't do this when it was new. Is the jerking shift normal after 8 months and 17k miles?

Anyway, I took it to the dealer this monring and the guy also heard the clunk sound. This is not the tech, just the guy checking the car in. He said it is normal. What crap. Anyway I left it with them and at tech will check it out.

For those of you with '05 TL automatics, does your car shift smoothly between neutral, reverse and neutral or even neutral, drive, neutral reverse or any other combination? If so please let me know. I take my replies back to thte dealer, if they say it is normal.

Thanks
