Default 97 2.5 TL climate control issue

Since the temperature change to Fall conditions here in New England, we noticed a problem with the heat on my girlfriend's TL. The heater works fine when you start out. After a few minutes of driving the cabin temp goes cold. If you shut the climate control off and then back on, you have heat for a few more minutes. I noticed if you turn the temp control from cold to hot and vice versa, you can hear the actuator motor that operates the heater doors work. Anyone with the same problem? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

you'll always hear the actuators under the dash... as long as its quiet.

It kind of sounds like the heater core may be plugged... or the car is low on coolant.

Default Update on Climate Control Issue

Heating problem is fixed! Amazingly enough being down only one quart of coolant was enough to cause the problem. I had also recently noticed that the coolant fan would stay on and run for a few minutes after parking the car. That has stopped after topping off the system. Thanks!
