Default Acura 3.2TL Type S 60000 Maintenance

I have scheduled my TL to have its 60000 maintenance service at an Acura Dealership. I was told it would be $429.00 to do it and take five hours. Is that a fair price?

Depends on your area and how much they charge per hour and what kind of work they are going to do. Did you ask them for a list of work that they will peform?

Default 60000 mile service

Its the standard 60000 mile service. They replace the oil, oil filter; rotate tires; replace air cleaner element; replace dust and pollen filter and inspect all hoses, brakes, etc.. Nothing really major. My area is Sarasota, Florida.

If that's all they are doing, no, it is not a fair price.

You can go to a standard jiffy lube and have the exact same work completed for about 50-60 bucks. Only think they wouldnt be able to do is change the pollen filter in the ac system.

Jiffy Lube = not factory trained technicians who have no pride in the work they do. No thanks

You know what I mean...a similar type shop. This is why I do all my own work. Noone touches my cars except for me with an exception of tire changes.

Yeah but they're all the same. I have oil change places do it for me in the winter when I'm too much of a pansy to do it myself and they've screwed it up somehow so many times that I have to get out of the car and watch them do it like an ass h:
