Default STEREO ACCESS for '97 CL 3.0 ??? (for IPOD connection)

Hi everyone,
This is my first post. I am trying to remove the factory radio so to install an MP3 / IPOD head. I cannot find how to remove the radio.

I purchased one set of instructions on the net for $5, but that turned out to be for a different trim surrounding the radio, even though it said 97-99 when I ordered the instructions. My unit, driving a BOSE speaker system, does not seem to have any special trim around the radio/CD drive.

Anyone able to help me?

Thanks in advance!

Default Thanks - how do I get pics to you ?

Thanks for helping.

I sent you a message, but could not paste the 3 pics showing the unit. Is there a normal email way of attaching pictures ?

ok the black trim around the whole thing is most likely just clipped in, get a plastic wedge, or a screwdriver if u can be really careful and pry it out, the clock will unplug and the radio will have 4 screws holding it in. I'm about 95 percent sure im right.

Default It Snapped Out !! Thank You !!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH . . YES THE SURROUNDING BLACK "TRIM" SNAPPED OUT

I now have access to the stereo head unit. I see two sctews, etc.

The radio seems to be one with the storage space under it.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your time and attention, and for giving a damn.

For a totally stock look when you put your new stereo make a bracket to hold the stock cd tray underneath your stereo so that you dont lose your tray with the door. it looks a lot better IMO. And it will save you 15 bucks for the cost of a new stereo adapter.
