Default Help with audio

I have a 2000 TL/Navi-all OEM, but I just bought a new Kicker S12 sub to add a little more bass. It's got the Bose system and the 6-disc changer already and I just wanted to keep everything as clean as it is.
I haven't picked out my amp yet, but would I need a capacitor for this sub (dual voice coil,600W RMS=300W/coil, 1200W Max)? Would I need to look into any kind of cross-overs and things of that sort. Any help from anybody who knowledgeable about this stuff would be appreciated
Thanks

You should definitely buy an amp with a built-in low pass crossover. You will need to disconnect the stock sub and stock amplifier that is behind the rear seat. You should get the Helms electrial manual if you are gonig to install it yourself. Be sure to run a new battery cable directly from the battery and make sure to fuse it within 18 inches from the battery and use a grommet through the firewall. Then use the shortest and thickest ground cable you can find and ground it to the car's bare metal. There should be a amp turn-on wire from the stock amp, use it to turn on your new amp with that wire and you will also need a hi-lo converter if your new amp does not have that option. If you have no idea what the heck I am talking about, then you might want to let an Audio shop to install it for you. Good luck.
