Default environmental/pollen filter ?

I want to replace the pollen filter on my 2001 CL I have the OEM filters and learned from this board that they are behind the glove box. I removed the clips which give me access to behind the glove box I just can't figure out how to get to the filters. There is a solid plastic piece with perforations that says do not discard that is molded into the back of the plate behind the glove box.

Do I access these from another place?

Thanks

it would appear that at least one side of that plastic must be cut in order to access the filter any thoughts?

Well I can't believe i'm the only one to have this problem.

Friday I went off to the Acura dealer and they copied the page from the service manual for me. I am really impressed with them as they have a whole different feel than what I'm used to at my Toyota dealer. I don't feel like I have to be counting my fingers when I shake their hand as I have in the past.

You do have to cut that panel iwth a wire cutter or a snip and then reuse it turning it 90 degrees after putting in the new filters. I knew they never had been changed because the only ay to do it is to cut through the plastic and I had to do that.

Wow were those dirty after 76,000 miles I even took a vacum to the area as there was debris in there. The manual says to have it done every 15-30K

If you can, scan the pages and post them here so other members can view them.
