Rebuilding
HEY GUYS!~ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO REBUILD THE 2.5 5 CYL VIGOR ENGINE.I WANT TO KEEP MY CAR BUT IM STARTINMG TO THINK ITS USELESS.IM SCARED TO FIX THE TDC SENSOR AND GET IT BACK 3 DAYS LATER AND HAPPEN AGAIN.CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS,IM IN CANADA.THANKS
Rebuilding an engine has alot of variables. Your best bet is to find someone that has a history of doing rebuilt engines for Honda/Acura.
First, doing a leak down test or a compression test to see how your engine is doing. If it is fine, then don't waste money rebuilding your engine. Let the dealer diagnose your problem. If they find that it is the TDC sensor, pay them to replace and if it comes back, then the dealer has the burden to fix the problem.
