Default Problem With Vigor Please Help

I own a 1994 Vigor GS. In the morning i drove to school and it was fine, but after pratice when i got in it, it wouldnt start. It was hard to push down on the brake pedal and when i did push down the brake lights wouldnt turn on. When I turned ignition everything would turn on like the radio and all that, but the starter wouldnt turn over.

I was told it could be that my anti-lock bake system is out and my car wouldnt start as a safty feture such as a kill switch or something.

If you think you can help please respond.

Dead battery. The reason why the brake pedal was hard to push down is because you have power brakes. Without the engine running, your power brake is not powered anymore and that's why it is hard to push the pedal down. Try to get a jump start first, and then take your vehicle to an autmotive diagnostic place that gives free charging system check just to make sure it is not the alternator. But I am pretty positive that it is the battery.

Good tips AcuraTL. I doubt the alternator is the culprit, the ones on the Vigor last forever. I'm still on my original

Just because you bought it a few months ago, it doesn't mean it can't go bad. How did you check the battery? Did you have a shop to test it? When you try to start the engine, is the engine silent? Tries to turn over? Or just clicks?
