Vibration when braking
My dad has a 01 Cl Type S. Whenever I drive it and brake (at higher speeds) the steering wheel vibrates. What is the cause of this? Any info would be great. Thanks!
Yes, the front rotors on your Dad's CL are probably warped. Depending on how worn it is, they might be able to have them turned. Some dealers will do this for you for free, some won't so it really depends on your particular dealership.

I don't think that you asked the correct question. You should be asking why the rotors warped. Most times, rotors warp because of incorrect tightening of the lugs during rotations, flat repairs, or tire replacement.
Lugs should not be fastened with just an impact wrench. Prefereably, the technician should hand-tighten the lugs with a torque wrench in accordance with the torque specification provided in the owner's manual. Using a torque wrench only takes a few extra minutes.
If the technician resists, then you should ask the technician to attach a torque-limiting device (torque stick) to the impact wrench. The torque stick must match the torque specification provided in the owner's manual.

My mom's TL had the same problem. I thought it was the rotors as well, but when we got new tires the problem went away. Maybe it was the tires, balance, or the lug nuts improperly torqued?

The TL/Cl lineup along with the Accords have had problems warping the front rotors for years now. They are simply undersized. Warped my 1st seto of rotors in 14k, and the rims were never touched.
