i have 2001 tl non- type s, i was wondering if the 02-03 type s ecu will fit in my car, and will it make a difference? And what is the differnence between the types and non-type s in engine wise?

There won't be any benefits because the 2 engines have alot of different parts. Compression ratio, camshaft, throttle body, intake manifold.......get the idea? If you want more power, get an Intake/Headers/Exhaust. And if that's not enough, try a Supercharger or NOS. If that's still not enough, you bought the wrong car.

There is the Value kit from Japan, but it's bank. Shipping alone will kill you.

Stereo is such a broad subject. Of course you can do whatever you want with the stereo, money talks. As for other performance parts, you can do pulleys, upgrade ignition, Type S throttle body and/or camshaft. Comptech's supercharger has the boost setup pretty conservatively, I'd doubt it will mess up the engine.
