Default need help with deck

I installed my alpine deck (7893) and my 94 honda accord. I turned up the volume and i blew a fuse. i took it to the shop in the guy said that i needed to connect the power wire from the deck str8 to the battery. Has anybody ever done that before and are there any guides online to show exactly how to do it?

well it seem like the deck isnt getting enough power like if i turn it up the lights on th deck start to blink when the bass hits. I put another fuse in. I just want to make sure i dont blow that one. i guess its ok to plug it str8 to the battery cause it says so on the constant wire itself.

The newer Alpine decks REQUIRE a direct power connection from the battery. It states that in the manual. They have an above average on-board amp, so they require more/constant power straight from the battery. This is very simple to do. Just use something like 10 ga power wire and run it from the battery, through the rubber grommet (slightly behind and to the right of the battery), into the car and to the deck.
