Default Panic Button Stopped Working - Technical Issue Help

Okay, so I have a toggle switch that was previously installed in the dash of my mom's 95 accord but she says she feels that it's a benefit for security and the button just happened to stop working. It'll work every once in awhile but then it'll die out after awhile as if the battery was low/dead but it'll work 3 days later. It's a Viper alarm, is there a battery or fuse that could have been blown? I have no idea when it comes to alarm but I went to the local store and they said for technical support it'll be 50 dollars an hour. Thanks in advance

if it is a viper, it comes with a limited support plan.
