Hey all,

As u can see from the title, i'm trying to plug an Accord 5th gen tape deck into a 93 Civic OEM harness. Will this "plug" right in and work fine? Or are modifcations needed? Currently i have a pioneer deck in there thats busted, and since i dont drive the car, i'mjust gonna throw a used tape deck in there. I havent bought it yet from the guy, but if i know it'll fit, i'll buy it.

Just to let you know, there already is a harness that converts oem harness to the small black "fitting" that sticks in the back of the pioneer deck. Ther also is a black wire, i think its power? That goes into the deck as well. Will that also plug into the oem deck from the accord?

it will plug in... the black wire (kinda thick in diameter) is the antenna wire.

you wouldnt by any chance still have the outer tail lights from the 96, would you?

 

no..sorry! I didnt strip those. I tried to strip as much as i could, but that woulda been too noticible and they might have sadi somethin.

I got the folowing though,
Battery
Plug Wires
Grille
Ashtray(front and rear)
left and right rear tail light covers(inside trunk)
Spare tire and i took my custom cut reinforcement piece of plywood that fits the hole right under the spare tire cover so you can put anything in there you want as heavy as u want and it wont "sink"

Thats about it! ..let me know if u wanna buy that stuff!
