like some previously stated, it's all about the installation... you can stall a thief (experienced or not) if the installer takes the time to hide your alarm and its wires.
ie.) cutting the starter wire right under your steering wheel where most thieves know to look vs. using the ignition wire behind your fuse box where most thieves will not look.
like i said before, as long as the circuitry in the alarm is working, any cheap ol' alarm can be used to protect the car IF its stealthly installed. all the other gizmos are for show boating and easing your mind..
