what is a decent amount of wattage in an amp to get a fair amount of bass. i dont need the neighborhood to hear my music but i just want a little more depth to my music. what is the minimum wattage i should be looking for? are the 100 watta amps any good?

 

It depends on efficiency of subs you are going to get and how many you are getting.

 

numbers only mean so much.....

but if i had to pick a number i say 300watts.

The specs of the sub(s) will determine how much power you'll need.... Also, a 100 watt amp from company A can differ greatly from company B...

 

Yeah and don't fall for those generic amps that claim to push out "1500Watts" etc...When it comes to amps, quality, not quantity

 

i sure hope stuff like that is common sense by now on this board.
