Default HU and Speaker Q....

In my 94 civic..i have pioneer speakers in the front and back...i'm looking to get a new headunit cause my pioneer was stolen and i want to use a panasonic hu....my question is will it sound funny with a panasonic hu and pioneer speakers? or should i keep the hu a pioneer? any suggestions is welcomed..thank you in advance

if theyre decent speakers then it really shouldnt matter what kind of hu you use. as long as they arent over or under powered they should be fine.

it'll be fine; however, it might sound a little different than your last setup. it might sound better or worse depending on the head unit you have. a sony head unit claims to have 55 watts of power, but it sounds hollow. a pioneer deck claims 45 or 50 watts and it sounds like you have an amp hooked up.

i suggest that you go to a store with multiple stereo display boards and listen to all of them first.
