Default stereo acting up

Alright in my car i have a jvc cd player and two audiobahn subs with a kenwood amp. Sometimes when i'm driving around all of my music skips. Its really weird. Sometimes it'll just skip, and sometimes it'll skip parts of the song and make kind of a chirping noise. Do you think this is my cd player or could it be something having to do with my subs? Any tips or anything are really helpful cause i'm stumped. Thanks

Are you subs up really loud? If you turn them does it still skip? If it does it could be the lazer it out of aligment. Most of the time when a deck starts acting up its not worth it to have it fixed unless your deck is really expensive or your in love with it. You can try to plug a diskman or somethign into your amp to see if it still skips. Or even a home cd player. Look at it this way if it is broken time to get soemthign better

do you have an amp for the highs? If your playing youir main speakers through the deck and the subs off the amp and everythign skips together it seems to me like its gotta be the deck. How old is it?

the deck's about a year old and a pos if you ask me. I'm thinking about upgrading to an eclipse deck for my bday. But anyways the amp is just on the subs and all the other speakers run off the hu so i guess it is the headunit like you all said. Thanks
