Default question on speakers

hey i'm looking to replace the stock 6.5''s inthe door panels of my integra. . i found a deal on speakers but they do not include screws (no biggie) or the sealing. . what do they mean by sealing? is this crucial? any pics or anything could help - is it on the face of the speaker or does it sit between the speaker and the mount? thnx for any help

Sealing is usually a rubber seal that goes between the mounting surface and the speaker it self. Its to help prevent vibrations.

firebane's right, its there just to dampen vibrations. It's not totally necessary. It's kinda the same substance as a putty or sticky tack, and I'm sure you can pick up a substitute at a hardware store or even a wal-mart.
