to answer your question:

starting with the power wire at the battry terminal-
-fuse (size will depend on the amperge of all the amps)
-firewall
-trunk
-cap's + terminal
-fused d-block
-power wire to each amp

you can ground everything individually or at the same grounding point.

what two amps is the cap going to. the cap may be no use to the amp that is powering the mids and highs. they are for amps that power subwoofers.

most caps have two terminals on them. one has a plus beside it. main power goes to the cap,, and main ground to the cap. the plus is the main power and then it splits off to the amps. then the grounds go back to the cap and then u ground them from the cap. thats the way most caps are set up for (or at least thats the easy way)

so if I'm running two amps, one for mids/highs, the other for subs, how would I run it?

I'm thinking:
-fuse
-firewall
-trunk
-distribution block w/ fuses
-one wire connects to mid/high amp
-other wire goes to cap
-from cap to sub amp
