go 6.5s all around and save yourself making a mess out of your car. 6.5s are decently bassy. if you can afford it get some component speakers.

I haven't found a 6.5 coax speaker that is almost as bassy as a 6x9. No need for component in the back, thats doing too much, in my opinion. Get some decent 3 way 6x9's for the back and with the tweeter reflecting off the rear window, it will sound sweet. Especially once you amp them. And how could you "make a mess out of your car" by putting 6x9's in the rear?

didnt you say you had to cut the interior panels out to fit a 6X9? i know you do for a civic.

Nope. On the Accord, the opening for the rear speakers are the size of a 6x9, but they come with 6 1/2's usually so they use a thin metal plate that is held on with 3 bolts and has a hole cut out in the middle of it for the speaker. He just has to cut that plate so it holds the 6x9.

huh, ironic, 6th gen civics come with 6x9s already installed, but aftermarket 6x9s require you to cut the **** outta your interior panels cuz all aftermarket ovals are too tall. most everyone uses 6.5s and calls it a day.

what a world
