Default battery terminals...

i have a plus terminal and am asking questions on how to hook it up.

What should i do with the ground terminal? Ground it straight down or do i have to make that go in the ground of my amp?

a battery has to be grounded to work. if you ground it to your amp it won't be connected to the rest of the charging system and the amp would only stay on until the battery died. If its the batt under the hood your car won't start. I am assuming its a second battery though right?

no...i'm talking about the battery under my hood. dont have enough for another one right now.

but i have a terminal on the + to connect my 0 guage, 8 guage, and stock battery cables (not sure how to put those on...read my other post)

and i was told to get one for the - side of the battery. I was just wondering what good it would be...
