People, (newbs especially) please take note - this is the perfect way to post a question!!!

Personally, I don't think anything from MB is worth buying unless it's the Q or QSD line. So if those are your only choices, I'd buy the Boston's.

Well its all prefrence. How do you like the mb quart 6x9's? Ive heard mb quart can be very bright probably needs a good install to sound good. You seem to be looking at some fairly pricey components. Do you plan on kicks or tweeters up high in the doors ?

im not sure if youre completely set on one of those 3 sets but if you are open to some other options, you might want to check out the Koda 6.1 components fromAdire Audio

heres a link

they go for $349 and are supposed to be well worth it

Based on the choices I would say go with the Bostons based on overall sound quality as compared to the MB Quarts. But I would have to agree with red 97 lude on the Adire Audio Koda 6.1 components.

From having a set in my accord all I can say is they have the similar sound quality of Rainbow professionals but at a excellent price. When properly installed in a sealed(as good as a door being sealed can get) infinite baffle situation.. the midbass can more than justify the asking price of these guys. ....on the other hand.... MBQs IMO are overpriced ear bleeding speakers that are only good for home audio setups where the person and speaker are a good 4-5feet apart. Even the damn Q series gave my ears some fatigue after 45 minutes of listening to some Dave Matthews Band.

I've only heard the boston Z series and not the pros so I cant comment on them.

I think I'm going with the MB Quart PCE216 Premium Series. I just heard them earlier tonight, and they sound incredible.

I'm actually going with the MB Quart "Q" Series QM 218.61 6.5" Component Set , which retail for $1500 and I'm getting them for $369.00.

BTW, the MB Quart "Q" series smoke the Infinity Kappas, ask anyone.
