Default problems w/playstation in car

whats up everyone...I have a ps1 hooked up in my teg, problem is when the car is running and i have the ps1 going there is a high pitch coming from the speakers, probably alternator whine, is there any way to shield the power cable of the psone to make the noise go away?
any help is greatly appreciated.

take the audio cables and power wires and separate them at least 12"

You can also buy shielded cables. Also make sure none of the wires are close to other power wires for the car. I had a problem in my car and jsut moving the rca's a little bit got rid of it.
