make switch light up..
i wired up a switch to turn my subs on /off (cuts circuit to REM wire to shut subamp off), but i was wondering how i could make the switch light up. I was scared if i added a 12v wire to the switch the power would go into the REM wire and mess everything up.

no..only when it is off.
---------- (rough scematics of my switch)
-|--|--|--
1 2 3
1= ground
2= ecu to switch
3= switch to wireharness
basically, 1= ground, 2/3=accessory
when i turn it off (towards ground, the light turns on. When i turn it on to connect the ECU circuit the light is off.

okay...
the switch has 3 circuits... one goes to the battery.... one goes to the ground.... one goes to what you're wiring...
there should be a sticker on the side of the switch telling you what circuit is what....
wire the ground, make sure it is wired TIGHT... your ground needs as much contact as possible... then put the other end into the SWITCH not what you're wiring....
then wire whatever it is to the switch....
then wire the switch to the battery... again... as much contact as possible... should be good!

ground > ecu to switch > switch to ecu
it works when the circuit is cut (flipped towards ground)
