Default JL 10w6v2 or JL 10w7?

Alright, I am sure this has been discuseed a few times. But I am torn between a 10w6v2 or a 10w7. Basically the huge factor is the price, for a 10w7 $1100 bucks. CAD btw. (I think that is insanely high) and a10w6v2 is 650 bucks retail. And from what I heard a w6v2 is 90% of the output of a w7.

What do you think?

besides the cost of the sub, can you afford to power the W7? i really havent looked into those. but they look power hungry.

Yea I second that...you're looking at a high price D amp to power ur w7. If you're not willing to go the distance, go with the w6 and an amp. Are JL's wut u want?

The 10W6 are more of an SQ and SPL combined subwoofer while the W7 has been designed for pure SPL. If this is going to be for daily use, the W6 will be more beneficial to you and your wallet. The W7 only sounds like a good subwoofer because of all the hype that surrounds it (although JL is still an excellent company).

i think you need more than a 500/1 to fully power a W7. you should put a 500/1 on that W6 instead

If you can afford the W7, then go for it...

It's pretty bling and should have very good SQ if its in the correct box.

Doesn't saying you have a W7 sound better than a W6??? :naughty:

Do you have personal experience with the W7? I've heard NUMEROUS W7's in SQ installs than SPLs...they do get SUPER LOUD and they are AWESOME SQ Drivers.

Just wanted to clarify this.
