Canon Powershot series were VERY high rating. Not really expensive either. Honestly, they've got some of the best color capture quality I've seen.

i either have or had:

fujifilm finepix1300. 1.3 mp and no optical zoom. its good for emailing small pics. all the pics of my installs was with this camera.

nikon coolpix3100. 3 mp and 3x optical zoom. its a great camera. VERY easy to use. very point and shoot camera, meaning not a lot of manual functions. and its also very light.

canon powershot a70. 3mp and 3x optical zoom. its a nice camera. its a nice sterdier camera than my nikon. but ive noticed the pics to be a little soft sometime. only complaint.

i just returned the canon a70. olympus c-4000 coming up.

the canon's pictures were just not up to quality. they come out very soft. other than that...its a great camera.
