Gee, i didn't know M A T S U S H I T A was a bad word (pronounced Mat-su-shta properly). That's just the way it's spelled. I can't help it if the Japs secretly cuss in English!

Yes, you do need to say more. Cliche's make very weak arguments.

don't go dissin on JVC now, i personally have been very happy with my KDSH707... better signal to noise ratio than a lot of pioneers... but i do wish I got an alpine
if you got th emoney go alpine. i think they are better HUs... the pioneeers don't really appeal to me.

alpine is the way to go, they make quality stuff. like amps (got 2)

I'm not knocking any brand, just stating facts. You'll know when I am voicing my opinion!

Default I have that same deck

I have this same deck...I got the best deal ever. I purchased it at a car audio/home entertainment store (StereoTypes). They said they needed more room for their home entertainment products, so they had to get rid of the car audio room. So they cut me a $120 deal for this. I paid $250 and the MSRP is $400!! The improvement of the sound is superb, it is crispy and clear especially with the highs.

my pioneer stuff has generally lasted me 5-10 years with hard wear, i never have any stereo **** break on me except for the following:

blau subs
jensen subs
jensen amps
several pioneer subs
my latest pioneer head is doing some weird ****

if there was a single brand i had to use for the rest of my life id play it save and pick JVC or maybe pioneer. i buy a lot of cheap ass components and drive the **** out of them, and i really have not had bad luck with pioneer except for their subs, (i think _that_ was an issue with a dirty amp)

i like that stereo, i was thinking about buying it myself when this one goes out.

yah, but its also $399 bucks...... so $269.... or $399. Kinda makes me rather go with the $269. The 400 buck one would kick ass though, i just dont have the $$ for it.
