which one is negative?

I just got a new headunit and the adapter has 2 wires that are the same color except one has a stripe along it. I can't remember if the solid is negative or if the striped wire is negative.

I would say that the solid one is neg.

Huh? Striped is negative. Solid is positive.

I have a pioneer hu, and my pos is red, on my other hu's. it's been red or yellow with red stripe.
I doubt if a head unit will have a solid black wire as pos.
