Default Why won't this work?

One of my friends has 2 Audiobahn Dual 4 Ohm Subwoofers in his rx-7. He got a JL 500/1 amp and after trying to hook it up and it not working he was told to wire his subs in parallel. Tonight we wired them in parallel and when he turned them on they would thump but between tracks the subs would continue moving in their own steady beat. After that we took them and hooked them up like they were before and now they won't work like that either. Anyone have any ideas?

if the amp was wired correctly, turned on and all, id check the rca's, maybe the cable got pinched or something. make sure the amps ground lead is grounded to bare metal. if that doesn't work:dunno:

Oh yeah, I see ur sporting my homemade yellow ribbon showing ur support, check the one in my sig, you can take it if you like, most other peeps did, looks better than my creationh:

We checked all the wires and they were all correct. We even checked the fuse on the amps, the ground, and multiple amps. They're doing the same thing for all both amps we used.

How exactly are the subs hooked up since they are dual 4 ohms what is the final load? If thats in jl's specs sounds like a blown amp but I'm not expert.

If you have a spare set of rca's you could try with them and see if you still have the same problem. Also may try different set of rcas on the deck. Does the amp say its going into protection or anything?

The amp seems to work fine as we have now tried 3. ITs also not the HU because his mids and highs still work fine.

Do you have the RCA's ran next to the power wire. If so then you could have noise getting induced from that. You say it is not your HU. Do you have multiple RCA outs? If you have a seperate for you mid's and high's and a seperate for you subs then it still could be your HU.
