Default Phoenix Gold

I own 2 PG 180.2 amps and 2 200 watt DVC PG 10's. I have to say PG is the best in my opinion. I would recommended PG all the way

Phoenix Gold is slowly but surely releasing their Octane R series of amplifiers. So far so good in my opinion. They're definitely worth checking out at your local car stereo shop.

Yeah i looked at the octane line. They seem really cheap if you are getting the power they say. Is it just a rebadged qx series?

The Octane R series replaced the QX series of amps. I'm not sure if they're rebadged or not. I guess that's just another Phoenix Gold hush hush kind of thing.

im not sure what amp is the best but i can tell you a little story about a phenoix gold amp...

ok im the back of my friends civic coupe driving across the bay bridge (at this time he had 2 12" kicker subs and a phenoix gold amp which was attached behind the seat that i was sitting on) So we smell smoke and i see smoke coming out of the rear speakers. Im like what the hell i think there is smoke coming out of the speakers, so coincidentally he had a spare key in the glovebox so i opened up the rear seats only to be greeted by a backdraft like flame, so i closed the seat and we got off at the next exit that we could. We go into the first parking lot we see and a guy comes running out of a booth saying we cant come in there, so we open the trunk and flames start goin everywhere and he lets us put it out before kicking us out. I guess the fans on the amp malfunctioned and it got too hot. Moral of the story is that phenoix gold sent my friend a new amp free of charge so i guess that they have pretty good customer service. Just thought id share my story

My xs2200 has been under my seat the whole time. Never had a problem with it and it seems to run fairly cool. ALthough it can only handle 2-3 volts input.
