Default Antenna wont go down.....

Well my antenna is stuck! Probably cuz I havent lubricated it but I just pushed the antenna back down to its base. It goes up when I turn the radio on but when I turn it off, it stays there!. Anyone know how to fix this? I dont want my antenna just to stick up there like that, it ruins my car's smoothness:naughty:.

I would just suck it up and instead of pulling your hair out by trying to repair it, just replace it.

Try some w-d 40. If that does not work then it time to replace it.

well yeh I used it, and it still stays there

so how much does it cost to replace? should I replace it myself or goto a Honda dealership and have them repair it?

You could try replacing it yourself if you'd like. But you have to consider that if the dealer does it, you'll have an oem antenna that will look exactly like the old one (if that's what you're trying to achieve) but more importantly you'll have a full warranty on the labor performed on your vehicle. Not sure on pricing though. Definitely get an estimate beforehand.

hey...my antenna is doin' the same thing, only it doesn't go up or down. I was doing some research and found that some people like these antennas....they're cheap and quality is (supposedly) better than your stock antenna. They mount them on the inside of the front windshield.

For $13 and some change it doesn't seem like a bad idea to try out before going the dealer route.
