Default Component Systems

I was thinking about getting a 6.5 component system for my car. (93 accord) My question is, do you have to use an amp to power these? Will my stock Acura CL cd player be enough? If so, will the stock deck with this upgrade sound better? I hardly know anything about this kind of stuff, so any help at all will be appreciated. TIA.

No, you don't "have" to use an amp to run them, but it would sound many times better if you did. No, that deck won't be enough, it'll sound like garbage. some things to look out for first off is mounting depth, if you get anything over like 1 7/8" deep, you'll have to use a spacer so the magnet won't hit the window. What components to get depends on how much you want to spend on an amp to run them.

You'd be better suited upgrading your deck instead of getting some good components to run off of it. You can have the best speakers in the world, but if you don't have the power to push them, they'll sound like garbage.

You don't "have" to, but you would "want" to.

You wouldn't do $250 components any justice with only deck power.
